Superior Court. The Superior court, criminal side, comes in at Bridgeport today when John Hawley will be tried again for the murder of Mary Munson. There is much speculation on the probable re sult. Some of the important witnesses against Hawley have died and his attor neys believe that to be a point in the prisoner’s favor. On the other hand it is said the state will push the case with renewed vigor and that States Attorney Fessenden will do his utmost to send Hawley to the gallows this time. Such occurred in the case of Jacob Scheele. He was dissatisfied with receiving a sentence for life and insisted on a new trial with the result of being con demned to die.
