Orner headlines DAHS banquetDuBOIS — Ellen Crandall Orner, head coach of the University of Connecticut ladies’ volleyball team, will be speaking at the DuBois Area High School all-sports banquet Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn of DuBois.Orner is a two-time NCAA and United State Volleyball Association All-American from Penn State.Orner was an assistant coach for Penn State, Clarion University, University of Rhode Island, and UConn before landing the Husky’s head coach job.She played at the professional level with the Minnesota Monarchs of the Professional Indoor Voleyball league, and helped her team win two national titles in her six-year stint.
