B I H and L E S (Brutus and Stryker) Mitchell operated the livery under the name, Mitchell Bros. Both of these men were practical saddle and harness makers and dealt inbridles, collars, etc. The Michell brothers operated the livery in the 1880's. Laterownership and management cannot be properly traced as it changed hands often. Later owners were King Sanders, Roberts Denton, John Denton, Frank Whitsitt, Braden Bros, Grant Pilling and others. The first child born in Mace donia was in September, 1880 a son Charles to Mr and Mrs Willoughby Dye. Charles graduated with Arthur C Lewis in the class of ’97 and later died at the early age of twenty-one years from a di sease that baffled physicians.
