Retired machinist Arthur Knight, 84, is taken by deathArthur L. Knight 84, died Thursday at his home 323 Jonte Terrace, Pascagoula, where he had lived for two years. He was a native of Nebraska and formerly lived in Collins.Knight was a retired machinist with the Illinois Central Railroad and he was a member of the Elks, Masons and the Methodist Church.Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at Fails Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Arnall Richardson, pastor of the Amite Baptist Church, assisted by Billy Hudgins, educational director of the First Baptist Church of Pascagoula.Interment was in Jackson County Memorial Park.Pail bearers were Robert E. Lynn, John H. Wilkerson, C. D. Ellorman. J. H. Simpson, Thomas E. Slout and W. F. Farmer.Honorary pall bearers were deacons of the First Baptist Church, H. M. Bowman, Earl McKee, Elmo Barber, Lester Franklin, Jr., Hollis McGill, Lynwood Ross, N. L. Hatten, O. A. Sinque-field, J. H. Willis, W. H. Ziglar and R. A. Robertson.He is survived by his widow; a daughter Mrs. Walter L. Huff, Pascagoula; and three brothers, Ralph of San Diego, Ernest of Pendleton, Ore. and will. Calgary, Canada; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
