Cpl. Carl S. Schell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Schell, 162 Maple Ave., Altamont, has returned to Fort Dev ens, Mass., for reassignment after serving a year in Korea and spend ing a 30-day furlough at home. Cpl. Schell entered service Nov. 20, 1850 and took infantry training at Fort Dix, N. J. After completion of his training he was shipped to Korea in May 1951, where he served with Co. I, 35th Infantry, 25th In fantry Division, until March 1952. Howard Schell, Jr., commander of Boyd Hilton Post, Veterans of For eign Wars, had the honor of swear ing his brother in as a member of the Post on April 24th, Carl wears the Presidential Unit Citation, Far Eastern, Korean and United Nations campaign ribbons.
