VANE HOWARD and children left their house on Wicker avenue to move into the LOUIS B. FAUST home at 7412 Knickerbocker parkway; the FAUSTS now occupy the J. W. YANT house at 7203 Ontario avenue and the YANTS bought the home of the S. W. STOCKDALES at 7118 Ontario avenue before the STOCKDALES left for Las Vegas,R. Pennell for the 1943 exhibition of prints to be held at the Library of Congress in Washington, D. C. from May t to July 1..^ERVICEMEN, no matter how J far from home, are proving that they are thoughtful and kind even though they are in the midst of war’s destruction. From far across European waters, CAPT. JACK O’CONNOR and SGT. F. JAMES TERRY sent flowers to their mothers by wire on Easter and made them two of the proudest residents of Calumet City. Capt O’Connor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack O’Connor, 157th street, and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Terry, 646 Ingraham avenue are Sgt. Terry’s parents.While all the above changes were going on, two new families came to Woodmar, the MATOVINAS, who bought the Howard home, 7246 Wicker avenue, and the ROBERT ERNEST APPLE FORDS, niece and nephew of the Fausts, who are now their neighbors in a new little house at 6804 Wicker avenue: ’ve all moved in just in time start their Victory gardens, which are sprouting like mushrooms in Woodmar’s wide open spaces.LENORE CONDE LAWSON has done it again!
