An informal reception honoring chiefs of naval general staffs from eleven Latin American countries will be held in the Commissioned Officers' Mess, Naval Air station, at 3.30 Monday afternoon. The reception will be one of the highlights of the entertainment program arrangedfor the visiting dignitaries during their one-day visit to the San Diego area. Kiefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Kiefer, and Harold F. Hobbs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest H. Hobbs of Washington, D. C. The Rev. Kenneth Carson performed the ceremony.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full skirted white lace gown styled with sweetheart neckline and long, close fitting sleeves. Her elbow length veil w'as held in place by a cap of orange blossons and lilies of the valley and1 she carried a white bible with a marker of lilies of the valley.Miss James Sets Wedding DateMiss Marjorie James, who with her mother, Mrs. C. M. James, has been living here for the past several months, has chosen June 1 as the date for her wedding to Ens. Eugene Volney Knox, sonMaid of honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Martha Kiefer. Both attendants wore gowns of pastel shades. Serving the bridegroom as bestman was the bride’s brother, Kenneth Kiefer.The bride attended Coronado schools and is a member of the Eastern Star. Mr. Hobbs attended Washington college, Washington,D. C.Following a wedding trip to the northern part of the state the couple will live here.and a corsage of white orchids.Miss Charlotte De Garmo served her sister as maid of honor. Her beige and brown crepe dress was accented with brown and white accessories and a gardenia corsage. Harry Titus was best man.Andrew' Shawles played Lohengrin and Wagner wedding marches and Bach Gounods Ave Maria at the beginning of the service and soft music for the remainder of the ceremony.A buffet supper followed in the home of the bride’s mother, lt;736 I Avenue. After a short wedding trip the couple will return to live at 853 I Avenue.The bride studied at St. Mary’s of the Springs college, Columbus, Ohio, and Mr. Matheson attended University of Redlands.
