ZOBIAK—KARANDIN Knox United Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Sunday after noon, May 5, when Mary Karandin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kar andin, became the bride of Walter Zobiak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zobiak, of Drumheller. Rev. H. D. Leitch officiated during the ceremony. The bride was charming in white satin with well and orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses. Her sister, Miss Annie Karandin, maid of honor, wore mauve satin and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. The brides maids were Miss Mary Kozak, whose dress was mauve’ satin, and Misses Vera Karadin and Sophie Moskie who wore rose satin, Little ‘Rosie Maoskile was the flower girl and was dressed in white organdie. The groom was attended by Mr. Louis Kozak, best man, and Messrs. Alexander Mahalruk, Edward Zarski and Walter Borodula. Mr. W. W. Gil lender presided at the organ. Following the ceremony, a recep tion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zoblak with about two hundred guests present. Refreshments were served at three tables, one of which was centered by a three-tiered wedding cake. On behalf of those Lesent, Mr. Dave Chertkow, [In ] short speech, wished the newly-weds much happiness and prosperity. A solo was then given by Mr. Eli Farm er, With dancing following. Later In the evening, following toasts to the bride and groom, many lovely gifts were presented to the young couple. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zobiak will reside in Drumheller,
