Federal Grand Jury Returns Bills Against Members of Al leged King. INDIANAPOLIS, May 16,— Pleading guilty to a charge of motor theft, Ralph J. Barron ce Toledo, Ohio, was sentenced by Judge Baltzell in federal court here today to one year and one day at Leavenworth. A number of others indicted on liquor charges pleaded not guilty when arraigned today and trial for all was set for June 15. Seventy persons were named in forty-six indictments returned in a second partial report by the federal grand jury late yesterday. One of the most important graow ing out of an alleged liquor “ring” near Louisville, Ky., named John Loi and Jesse Crawford, both of Floyd Knobs, Ind., and William Irving, Pete Barrett, William T. Crawford, and Charles Crawford all of Louisville. Higgins Dennison of Evansville, Ind., Robert L. Mayberry,of Union town, Ky., Fred Goodson and Daisy McKeel, alias TDwaisy Goodson, both of Lafayette, Ind., Robert D. Brown of South Bend, Ind., Fred erick J. Freshley of Evansville, and Maude Cox, of Winchester, were indicted for alleged violation of the Harrison narcotic law. Richard E. Bauer, Walter Atwood and Ralph Kent, all of Evansville, were indicted for alleged violation of the Mann white slave act. Mer vit A. Sheely, of Fort Wayne, was indicted for alleged impersonation of an officer and is held under a $5,000 bond. C. ©. Handsell and Wilmer Rose, both of Fort Wayne, were indicted for alleged embezzle ment of funds from a Fort Wayne national bank. They will be ar raigned next Saturday.
