Notice is hereby given that at a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of River side County, California, held at their regular place of meeting at Riverside, Riverside County, California, the following petition for the incorporation of a certain territory therein described, was presented to said Board, and will be presented to said Board for hearing at a regular meeting, at ten o'clock a.m., June 2,1896, as required by law. The following is the petition as presented to’ ‘said Board’ - ‘ We, the undersigned, duly qualified electors of the County of Riverside, State of Califor nia, and residents within the hereinafter des cribed territory: DO HEREBY RESPECTFULLY PETI TION and pray to the Hanorable Board of Supervisors of Riverside County, State of California, to incorporate under the provis ions of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled ‘An Act to Provide for the Organization, Incorporation, and Gov ernment of Municipal Corporations,” ap proved March 13th, 1883, an Acts supple mental and amendatory thereof all that real property now situate in Riverside County, (but formerly situate in San Bernardino County,) State of California, particularly de scribed as follows: to-wit: Commencing at the center of section seventeen (17) in town ship four (4); south of range six (6) west.Sans Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence due north to a point on a boundary line of the city limits of the City of Riverside, in Riverside County, State of California; thence to the left following the line of said limits to a point due north of the said point of begin ning; thence due north to the souuth bank of what is known as the Santa Ana river in said County and State; thence in a south westerly direction along the said bank to the west corner of lot thirteen (13) in block eighty (80) as ‘delineated upon’ a map entitled “Subdivision of a part of blocks 69, 70, 71 and 73, and blocks 74, 75, 76, 77, 7B, 79,80 and $1, filed ‘in the ‘office of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, California? October 20th, 1887, “which said may shows the subdivision of said blocks which said blocks as originally laid out are delineated upon a certain map of the lands of the South Riverside Land Water Company (formerly situate in San Bernardino county, State of California, but now situate in Riv erside County, showing colony and townsite surveyed by H.C. Kellogg, C. E., completed in January, 1887, which last, aforesaid map was on the Seth day of February, 1887, filed in the office of the County Recorder of said Sant Bernardino County; thence follow ing the west and south boundary lines as delineated upon said maps of said South Riverside Land Water Company, to the south corner of lot five (5) of block three (3) as delineate) on aforesaid map filed on Feb ruaary 11th, 887; thence easterly to the place of beginning.. . And we hereby state that the number of inhatbitants are about fifteen hundred people and ask that the name of such corporation be the City of Corona.
