AprilTerm, 1879.We the Grand Jurors, cmpanneled end sworn for April Term, Schley Superior Court, 1879, beg leave to make the following general presentments.Wo find all the roads, throughout the county in very good condition with the ex-i ception of the road leading from Hart’s j Mill to Owen’s branch, which we find in bad i condition; also the road leading from S. Montgomery's plantation to J. S Allens; and from W. T. Eason's residence north, we find each of them in a dangerous condition, caused by the large gullies being washed near these roads. We also find the upper turnpike bridge on Buck creek needing immediate repairs, caused by the recent excessive rains. We find the Courthouse needing repairs by the rebuilding with brick new col- j umns in front, and the repairing of the falls en plastering; re-hangiag some of the fallen blinds, and replacing lights in many of the windows.We find some repairs needed on the foundation of steps of jail, and other slight repairs, all of which wo ask the proper authorities to give their immediate attention.Wo have carefully examined the books of the county officers, to-wit: Ordinary, Clerk Superior Court, 8heriff. Treasurer, Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of Boads and Revenues, Justices and Notary Publics, and find them ail neatly and accurately kept, and extend to the several officers the compliments of tliis body, and wc feel the county affairs are in the hands of compet ent and ef-feoient officers.
