He worked as a carpenter. He also was an avid hunter fisher man. He leaves his daughters, Carole DeGrenier (Dennis), Anniston, Ala.,, Linda Krabbe (Kurt), Wilcox, Ariz., Jean Ashley (Ed), Schenectady, N.Y., Denise Dorman, Bradenton, Fla. Grandfather of Karen Tatro, David Stokes, Wendy Krabbe, Holly Bodine, Todd Ashley, Chris topher Ashley, Elisabeth Cococcia, Jennifer Ashley, Rebe kah Dorman, Nathanael Dorman and Naomi Dorman.
