Dinner Dance Held By Luzerne ChamberLUZERNB-HADLEY — New members of the I^ake Luzerne Chamber of Commerce were welcomed at the annual “Meet and Greet” dinner dance held at Roaring Brook Ranch Resort recently.Mistress of ceremonies was Florence Brunelle. New members were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Esser, Mr. and Mrs.Wilfred Rodrique, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Clugston, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmot Worth, Victor Grant, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Trudell, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Cuddeback, Mr. and Mrs. David Girard and Mr. and Mrs. Manny Goldstein.Lewis Gurley, guest speaker, presented a program on “signs.” Gurley is a civil engineer with the New YorkState Department of Transportation for eight northeastern counties.Chamber president, Robert Nevins, presented a gift to the former secretary, Barbara Rollman, for her years of service.Awards were presented for beautification to the following businesses: WaterhouseRestaurant, Hadley Auto Service, Cabin in the Pines, Swiss Chalet and Mountain I^kes Inn.Certificates for beautification of homes were presented to Matthew Starzec, Beecher Brannon, Robert Nevins, Sr., Henry Kaselow, James Mastro and John Iwanko.A special certificate was awarded to Homer Scofield.
