Negro American Loop Game At Sherman Field .MondayThe Kansas City Monarchs and the Detroit Stars will play a regulation Negro American League baseball game at Sherman Field Monday night. Game time is 8.The Monarchs, long renowned among Negro clubs, have featured such performers as Jack Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers and Ernie Banks of the Chicago Cubs.Third Baseman Hank Baylis is the veteran of the club, serving as the steadying influence on several youngsters. Other standouts include Shortstop Dave Whitney, Second Baseman A1 Cartmill and First Baseman Esteban Clark.Heading the pitching corps is Jim (No-Hit) Gilmore.
