She was unru in Otsego, Otsego Co., int Jane, 1817•— Her uncle, Frederick House, who in years gone hy was anroraloent and honored citizen of this village, adopted her when she was but a child, and with him she camo, to Dansville Jg^,i834,‘ and on July 4th, 1844, was, 'married to Henry Hartman. She hat bee$ a most devoted wile, a moat loving mother—few more: lakh fal can scarcely be found Of her Christian virtues too umch cannot be said. 'In charity, joriugkind-ness and benevolence she imitated vary closely, the exaroplc'of the Saviour she loved. For, nearly twQ JQAft her health has been in a precarious' state, and yet^saffering intensely much of the time, and 1cno wing as she did that with disease of the heart sheVat liable at almost any in oment to be taken from her loved ones, she maintained a fortitude almost unequalled, and a_ patience and rtsi^n^Uan, many- a one might pattern by.
