Vvs in Ik\a.—M. Suligin, French Charge d* A flair* im Texas, lately got in a quarrel with Mr. Bullock, a Yank©© innkeeper at Austin. Saligny boarded at Bullock's hou*ier quarreled with hi* bill, and removed Bullock's hogs next rooted their way into Saligny's kitchen, and were repelled rather roughly. Bullock took up their cause, and flattened, the nose of Saligny’s cook with a stone. This brought on am. open rupture, and M. Saligny, going soon after to visit Mr. Flood, American Charge, a: Bullock's house, was thrust out by Bullock, and ordered to keep his distance. Saligny aom appealed to the Secretary of State, who, to quiet him, hod. Bullock arraigned and fined. But Saligny was not satisfied with this, and wrote a saucy letter to the Secretary, complaining of a icant of friendship far France on the part oC Texas. The Cabinet civilly tendered him his passport*.— Meantime he had writton to the West Indies for a Fronds fleet to blow Texas into the air for its insults to the majesty of France, and wrote to tin* French Minister at Mexico tm oppose the recognition of the Independence of Texas !—A. French corvette hastened ovor from Martinique to Galveston to raise thunder, but backed out when he learned the tru© origin of the difficulty.—Would it not be a good spec, for some of our theatrical penny-a-liner* to get up ‘ Diplomacy in Texas, or the majestic Hog-Fight? ’
