Washington school first graders enjoyed a visit to the John Dutch farm in Schuyler county Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Moore, Bobby and John es corted the class through the chicken yard. They viewed the caged layers and how they are fed and cared for Then they saw the small chickens in the brooder house. Next they saw the feeder pigs of various sizes and how they are fed and watered. The unique way of caring for the animals was most interesting to the children. After a trip through the various farm buildings, the youngsters en joyed playing on the spacious lawn. Since the day of the trip coin cided with Nancy Wheaton's birth day, the class sang songs to her while eating refreshments served by their teacher. Those making the trip were Charles Ackley, Rochelle Baka, Judy Baker, Rita Baker, Tony Brewer, Helen Davis, Marsha Dor sey, Joe Dugger, Michael Genseal, Dickie Gladwell, John Hall, Tom my Herron, Patricia Hymes, Shar on Lewis, Ogheanna Malthy, Jim my Mayes, Mary Ann Patterson, Gary Perry, Lynnie Perry, Jean Roth, Diane Steele, Nancy Wheat on, Sue Wilhite, Frank Howey, Jr., Glenda Schafer, Lester Kamble. Miss Mildred Blank, principal, and Mrs. Doris Edwards, teacher of the first grade, accompanied the students as well as the follow ing mothers who furnished cars Mrs. Vernon Rahn, Mrs. Robert, Patteron, and Mrs. A. J. Roth.
