IMPROVINGW. C. Grigley,- the Santa Fe fireman who was injured Monday night when his train was in Toluca, is somewhat improved today. He partially recovered consciousness and talked to friends from Chillicothe who came to Streator to see him. He was not able to state how the accident happened. The only details that can be furnished is the story told by the engineer, who states he was looking out the window of the cab when he heardthe body of the fireman hit the floor./and when he reached his side he found him unconscious and bleeding from a deep scalp wound.Mr. Grigley is well known in Streator, having been running through here on the Santa Fe for some time. His home is in Chicago, but he keeps a room in Chillicothe to use when he is at the end of his route.Santa Fe officials were anxious to have him taken to the Santa Fe hospital at Fort Madison, but it was not thought advisable to move him for a few days.—Ind.
