The many Loganspart friends of John (9am) Cassel, will regret to learn that tbe injuries he sustained while coupling cars in the Wabash yards at Peru yesterday morning, re* suited fatally. His death occurred this morning at the Waba h hospital in Peru. He was caugnt between two cabooses and sustained internal Injuries.Joton Oassel was in the employ of the Panhandle railroad company for a number of years. He arose from a freight brakeman to a passenger conductor on that road, and was one of the many let out by tbe company after Charles Watts was appointed superintendent of the Chicago division. He next obtained employ* ment in the Vandalia yards here. A year or so later he went to work in the Eel Elver railroad yards and was finally transferred to Peru. He leaves a wife and seven children'. He was a member of Tipton lodge No. 33, F. and A, M., of this city, and ' Messrs. Isaac Shldeler and Eli Greensfelder, of that lodge, went to Peru today to arrange for tbe funeral, the time of which will be announced tomorrow.Mrs. Castle is a sister of Mr. Fred McDermott, of this city.Later—The funeral will be held at Pern tomorrow. The remains will be brought here at 2 p. m. for burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Burial will be made by Tipton lodge, F. and A. M.
