Hast Sunday Mr. and Mrs, Hoback J and their fourteen-year-old son were visitors at the home of Dean Milton, at Jerome, Howard county. Mr. Milton’s six-months-old child was left for a few minutes with the Hoback boy. The screams of the infant attracted the attention of the parents, and upon running into the room they found the mouth and face of the four-year-old boy covered with blood, while the younger child was torn and bleeding, the Hoback boy having.-bitten off one i of the toes of the baby, had nearly severed another, besides which the hody of the baby showed the marks of the little cannibal’s teeth in several places.
