Sarah Alibozek set a new school record in shot put ADAMS — It was a record set ting day for the Hoosac Valley girls’ track team yesterday after noon. Sarah Alibozek set a new Hoo sac school record in the shot put with a throw of 35 feet. She broke her own record of 34’9”. She also took first in the discus (95’1”) as the Hurricanes defeated St. Joe’s 114-35. The boys’ were also big winners over the Crusaders by a score of 113-36. In other field events, Paula Wo jieck had a pair of second-place finishes in the shot put (34’8”) and discus (80’2”). Hoosac swept the pole vault as Sylvia Holman took first (6’6”) Leah Hine second (6’0”) and Jen Parrott third (5’4”). In the javelin, Michelle Raymond captured first (99711’) and Allison Czubryt third (64’0”). In all three jumping events, Hoosac excelled. In the long jump, Andrea Berti took first (14’ 6.5”) and Laura Ziemba second (14’5’). They swept the triple jump with Kristy McCormick taking first (29’5”), Berti second (29’6”) and Kriste Pinsonneault third (24’7”). In the high jump, Kate Egnazak notched first-place (4’4”) and Raymond took third (4’0”). On the track, the 100 hurdles, Tara Wooley took second (21.87) and Chrissy Horansky third See TRACK.
