Loeck, Mrs. Kenneth Harrington and Mrs. Bill Schweitzer.Rural-Urban Meeting Held By Farm BureauA rural-urban buffet held at the Hotel Pmicon Tuesday morning sponsored by the Farm Bureau Women was attended by 57 persons. The purpose of the buffet was to further promote friendship and understanding between rural and urban women.Mrs. Lauren Gissel, vice chairman of the Buchanan county Farm Bureau Women, welcomed guests. Mrs. Homer Nabholz led the pledge to the flag and gave the Invocation.John Siesseger, Farm Bureau fieldman, spoke on “What The Farm Bureau Stands For.” Mrs. Frederick Becker, McGregor, new District 1 commit tee woman, spoke on the Farm Bureau Women's program and the projects they sponsor.The featured speaker was Dan Murph of Polk City representingthe Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. He spoke on methods to better get along with other people, noting that all have common problems and should work together to Iron out those problems.Mrs. Kenneth Harrington was awarded the door prize, the centerpiece on the speaker’s table. The program closed with all singing the “Farm Bureau Spirit Song.”Jesup Club HasMay BreakfastMrs. William Lemke was hostess to the Rural Women’s Study club at a May breakfast in her home Wednesday, May 4. Fourteen members and six guests were present.
