The annual Field Day and School Exhibition will be held on Friday, May 20. Grades from one to five, in clusive, will hold their games and dances in the morning, while grades six, seven and eight will have contests and games in the afternoon. Both Primary and Junior High buildings will be open to the parents on Friday during the day and in the evening from 7.30 to 9.30 o’clock. Work done during the year will be on display in the rooms and halls of both buildings, rather than in the gymnasium. Ex hibits will include project work of all kind, booklets, posters, written work, wood and metal work, clothing, club exhibits, etc. Parents and friends of the school are cordially invited to come to the school on May 20. The Marble Tournament held dur ing Boy Week was run off on the playground under Mr. Wetherall’s su pervision. Following are the winners for the grades: Fourth Grade—Henry Cantagalli and Bert House. Fifth Grade—Dorothy Sparks and Howard Nold. Sixth Grade—Junior Griffis. Seventh Grade—Sam Pruitt. Eighth Grade Boys—Fred Claffey. Eighth Grade Girls—Martha Stout and Rita Salvatorelli. The semi-finals were won by Jun ior Griffis, Howard Nold and Rita Salvatorelli. The finals was won by Junior Griffis. He is therefore mar ble champion of the school. ma am At the Montgomery County Play Festival, held in Collegeville, Satur day, May 7, the following prizes were won by Narberth pupils: Jack Schwa benland, third place in spelling con test; Roger Graham, second prize, third protection essay contest; Ken neth Levis, fourth prize in third box contest; Fred Claffey, second place in high jump, elementary class (4 ft., 6 in.); Anthony Dimidio, first place, shot-put, Rita Salvatorelli, third place, basketball throw. Entrants in other events were as follows: Basketball throw, Rita Sal vatorelli and Mildred Thomas. Stand ing broad jump, Class II, Emily Hoff man and Rita Salvatorelli. Standing broad jump, Class I, Lucy Censore and Iris Goodrich. 75-yd. dash, Rita Salvatorelli and Virginia Mariana. 50-yard dash, Myrtle Hager and Kathryn Bailey. The school had on display an Art Exhibit and Home Economics Exhib it. Eunice Griswold, Helen Brock, Helen Chubb and Lois Enz partici pated in the Fashion Show. Essays written by Jane King and Ernest Bailey were entered in the third essay contest. A large chorus of school children, made up of one hundred pupils from thirteen schools in Montgomery Coun ty, sang during the afternoon. Those from Narberth who sang in the Fes tival Chorus were: Helen Brock, Drayton Benner, Jane Chillas, Helen Chubb, Lois Enz, Eu nice Griswold, Anita McFarland, Bob McLaughlin, Louise Megee, Pauline Sabrovich, Mrs. Chubb, Mrs. McCartney, James Brock, Dr. Pruitt and Mrs. Griswold were kind enough to offer cars for transportation.
