The Columbis City Commercial Mail saya Abat after having cbsered the work “being done on the Yellowstone Trail by George Letter, of Pierceton, the Whitley county officials are considering the proposition of buying a sinailar truck to the one he is using, for the pur pose of dragging the county roads. In the summer season the roads dry off so quickly after a rain that they can dbs be properly dragged with teams even where they are available. With the truck now being used on the state road, the Trail can be dragged from Winona to Col umbia City in a dey. Mieb: improve ment has been made on ‘this road. “A good part of last week was spent on the road between Pierceton sod air which was in a deplorable condition. Gravel is belong spread up the rough places, and every effort is being made to get it in shops to meet the require ments of the trafic. However, Mr. Leifer has more to do at this time than he is able to accomplish.
