Pt. Pleasant 8. D. Jackson has gone to house keeping, Austin Lafollet is going to Columbus, this week. Several children here have the whooping cough, Rev. Hymen was at his home, in Spring field, last week. Rev. Dyer,the book agent, is here, selling a commentary of the Bible. Laughlin Stranathan have purchased the brick building occupied by them, and are putting extensive repairs on it. An old lady, Mrs. Ann Cale, of Hartford, fell last Thursday and dislocated her hip. It is thought she cannot survive the Injury J. W. Trott discovered a man in his barn last Friday night. He called several times but received no answer, and while gone for help the man disappeared. Mrs. Delilah Dudley, a respectable old lady, died May 6th. She was 71 years old and a member of the Lutheran church. Her husband, Samuel Dudley, died several years ago. Rev. Piggot conducted the funeral services. The remains were taken to Buffalo for burial.
