He., tia^ He. .. -On Tuesday night last, together with several gentlemen, we called on $ Mrs. VanDuzee at her rooms in the Clinard House. This lady is the wife of -the general manager in Athens for the oinger machine company, and is not a professional, who seeks to make a living by her belief. We were kindly received, and of course .the conversation at once turned upon Spiritualism. Mrs. VanDuzee freely discussed the subject and readily answered all questions propounded. We were soon convinced that she was as honest and conscientious inher advocacy of Spiritualism as a churchman is in the Christian religion. • She says it is neither her wish nor*-intention to make converts, and ' would not walk twenty steps toconvince any one of the truth of her belief; that humanity have eternity before them,and if they are not converts in this world, they must be in the next. She says there are different degrees in the spirit land, as on earth, and she has conversed with spirits from all the realms. This lady says they appear 'to her in different form% Tnere are first what is denominated the. earth-bound spirits, whose past life has not fitted them to occupy a higher sphere.
