Robert R. Hughes, Sr. Robert R. Hughes, Sr., 74, Rt. 2. Monticello, departed this life at 12:43 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 1993, at the Indiana Veterans Home where he had resided for one car. , Born August 19, 1918, in Delphi, he was the son of W. Earl Hughes and Hester Welker. On July 20, 1940, in Delphi, he married Rosemary Hutton. She survives. He worked at R.E. Pearson for 27 years, retiring in 1981. He also worked at Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette and worked for Ross Ball Beverage in Delphi. He graduated from Delphi High School in 1936. He was a fonmer member of Delphi United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Delphi American Legion Post #75. He was an avid fisherman. Surviving with his wife are a two sons, Terrence L. Hughes of Logansport and Robert R. Hughes, Jr. of Monticello; a daughter, Zarayda Garrison of Lafayette; two sisters, Joann Shockley of Delphi and Mildred Hahn of Lafayette: one brother. Donald Hughes of Tuscon, AZ: 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Lucinda Kay: one infant daughter, and one brother. Gene Hughes: preceded in death. Services are being conducted today. Wednesday, May 12, 1993. in Horn Funeral Home. Delphi. with the Reverend Donald Ashley officiating. Burial will be in OOF Cemetery. Delphi. Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Association. Angel Hartman Angel Hartman, daughter of Mitchell and Michele Siebert Hartman of St. Joseph, MI, was stillborn on Friday, May 7, 1993, at 10:10 a.m., in Mercy Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph. Surviving with her parents are maternal grandparents, Floyd and Lois Bentley of Michigan City; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Anita Hartman of Camden; and paternal great-grandmother Mary D. Kleckner of Delphi. “Services were conducted Tuesday, May 11, 1993, in the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastors Opal Reiff and Duane Goodale officiating.
