RITES FOR JOHN W. EVANSRites for John W. Evans were: held in Newton Wednesday in the; Toland Funeral Home at 2:30 PM.1 Burial was in the Graham Cem-1 etairy near Mingo.Mr. Evans spent the last two one .half years in the home of his! daughter, Mrs. Lloyd H. Davis un til one week before his death when he was entered into the O’Do-nnel nursing home where constant care could be given.Most of his life he spent as a farmer in the Colfax and Mingo area and t according to records there he was 79 years, 4 months and 26 days old. __He leaves to mourn his passing five children Wayne Evans and Juanita Gilbert tooth of Newton, Sue Galuska, of Portsmouth^ Virginia^ M/iSgt. Fred Evans of Oceanside, California and Racheal Davis of iRussell; one sister Mrs. Ida Stamper of West 'Des Moines, and ten grandchildren. His wife and one son preceded him in death.
