CARROLLTON — Dr. Reece, Jones and Dr. Wayne Howell, both of the Western Illinois Col lege at Macomb were guest speakers at the dinner meeting of the Greene County Teacher's Association Tuesday evening in the dining room of the local Methodist Church. Dr. Jones showed slides taken on a trip to South America and Dr. Howell, who is director of Visual Education at the Univer sity presented a picture which portrayed his Visual Aid Depart ment with Mexico as the setting for the film The musical program consist ed of a clarinet solo by Mises Ann Cunningham, a trumpet trio played by Miss Bonnie Turpin, Miss Peggy Pruett and Kent Black and a piano solo played by Miss Patricia Pruett. All are students of the Carrollton Com munity CHIT High School. T. G. Ready Sr., who is a teacher of the 7th grade in the Carrollton Community Unit Grade School was honored for having been a teacher for forty years. In recognition of his services to the youth of Greene County Ready was presented a pin by Harry Andersen, public relations chairman of the Greene County Education Association. Andersen also preented other awards to teachers in the coun ty who have been teaching for a period of 2 or 30 years.
