One hundred and ninety miles is the minimum distance for a day’s run.Barney Gardner acted as pilot for tbe Pathfinder to Fort Dodge and from that city the route is expected to pass through Jefferson, where a party representing tbe Denver MotorClub, were awaiting tbe arrival of Mr. Lewis and wlii be bis pilot west of Omaha.Now, just a word to our people about preparing for this famous crowd of tourists, lei Kossuth county farmers along the route wake up to tbe fact that good roads will be the best advertisement we can have. Tbey should see tba* their roads are dragged and putin as fine a condition as possible for the passage of the tourists,. This is a good opportunity to make northern Iowa favorably known to these eastern people, and if we put forth a little effort in putting the highways in good condition, we can pleasantly Impress the visitors and do more towards booming Iowa than has been done in years. The day of tbe coming of tbe tourists will be announced in advance and Algona people will make a gala day celebration for the visit.
