Minneapolis, Maokato, Aigona, Ft, Dodge, Jeffer-•oti, Omaha, Lincoln and Ft- Morgan to Denver, was In Aigona Wednesday evening and remained over night- The oocopants of tbe car were entertained at tbe »w Aigona Hotel by some of tbe business men- Scoot Dai Lewis is tbe man wbo Is laying oat tbe route He is accompanied by a pilot and a newspaper correspondent, who with tbe chauffeur makes up tbe party of four that is making tbe tour of investigation.. They started from Blue Eartb Wednesday morning and came through Elmore, Germania and Burt, reaching Aigona about 0:30 in the evening. Their progress had been considerably retarded through Minnesota by tbe wet gumbo roads, but as the weather became more settled the trip into northern Iowa was tbe most pleasant of any they bad experienced. W. O. Dustin, of Elmore, piloted tbe car j into Aigona, and be bad persuaded i the farmers in bis locality to drag the: roads, so that much of tbe distance to this point was pleasanttraveling.Five cars went out from Aigona and met tbe “pathfinder” this side of Burt. In the party were Rev. O. H. Holmes, -C. T. Chubb, B. H. Gardner, C. D. Best, J. E. Lillie, W. F. Nierling, F, E. MeCorkle, E. G. Fargo and Max Mesing of Aigona, four autolsts from Mason City and Mr. Rankin of Fort Dodge. Although a strong effort was made to have thaGlidden route changed so as to pass through Mason City, Mr. Lewis expressed himself as much pleased with the interest and reception he had received along this route and assuring the Aigona gentlemen that they might expect the tourists through here about July 20th. They plan to take dinner in Aigona and replenish their gasoline.
