By Jamie Rieger Commentator/Courier The Redcliff Girl Guides will be one of many groups from across the country holding a parade and special cere mony on May 15 to recog nize the 100th anniver sary of Girl Guides of Canada. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Parkside School and activities marking the occasion will take place throughout the day. Nationwide cere monies will commence with a sunrise ceremony at Signal Hill in St. John's, NFLD and will end with an overnight camping adventure at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Activities and rallies will be taking place at 22 communities in between, including Redcliff. Tens of thousands Girl Guides, past and present, are expected to take part in the events taking place across Canada. As part of their National Service Project, they will also be collect ing non-perishable food items for the Medicine Hat and District Food Bank.
