Their Daughter and Sou Were Planning to Cetefcrate Sunday At Country EstateMaoon, Me., May 9.—Mrs. Theodore Gary, wife of the chairman of the board of Theodore Gary Co., of Kansas City, died unexpectedly at 9:10 a. m., Saturday at Oakhill, the Garys' country estate near here.Death was attributed to an obstruction in the blood stream. Mrs. Gary, who was 74 years old, was stricken without warning. She died before med-j ical aid could reach her.I » v •Mr. Gary was with her when she| died, as was the couple’s only daughter, Mrs. Wesley H. Loomis, Jr., who, j with her husband and sons, arrived | here Friday night to observe Sunday, Mother’s Day, with Mrs. Gary. Hunter L. Gary, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary, was reported en route here from the West, having planned to join in the family reunion on Mother’s Day. j i Mr. and Mrs. Loomis, accompanied by their son Theodore Gary Loomis, came here Friday night from Kansas City and were joined by another eon, Wesley Loomis m, who came here ’ j from Chicago.j Mr. Gary said his wife was stricken j just after he had brought the morn-0 ! ing paper to her room, as was his 0 j regular custom.0 Mr. and Mrs. Gary were married in 0! Macon on November 1, 1882. She was0 j the former Miss Helen Fairbanks Lar-rabee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fairbanks Larrabee of Macon.Mr. and Mrs. Gary during the winter had lived in their home at the Walnuts, in Kansas City. They left 0) there only a few days ago and motored01 to their country estate here.0 Mrs. Gary was born in Macon Jan-0 uary 11, 1862, the daughter of Fair-01 banks Larrabee and Mary J. Ross 7 ■ Larrabee. Fairbanks Larrabee was a 7 deseedant of the Fairbanks family of 7 Dedham, Mass.. where the ancestral 7: home is still maintained. Helen Lar-0 j rabee was probably the first white girl01 bom in Macon. She attended St. 0 James Academy. Mrs. Gary was the 0 last of her family since her only 0 brother, Ross Larrabee, died June 17, 0 : 1917.0 Macon was always home to Mrs. 0 Gan-, and she was always happiest 0 when she was there among her life-0 long friends and in her flower garden. 3 She loved flowers and her succc's with 3 | them was renowned.*5 !1 Mrs. Gary was a member of the Ane 3 Helm chapter of the Daughters of the 3 American Revolution and of the Pro-3 testant Episcopal church.3 Two other surviving grandchildren 3 are Mrs. Mary Gary Oarkener and 3 Theodore Sauvinet Gary, daughter and 3 son of Hunter L.
