In a letter received this week from H. A. Boddy who is new in the trenches in France, he states that he and ©. M. Hogg were sur prised by a visit from Eric’ Bowen- Smith and Gordon Cavanagh, of the Sth Battalion, as it was not known previously that they were anywhere in the vicinity. All these Wilkie boys are feeling fit amid doing their part in the great struggle. We presume the boys served ‘‘afternoon tea a la trench’’ in honor of their visitors on the occasion of this ‘sur prise visit.
