A. KRitcbey, located on West Third street, caught fire and was destroyed, though most of the contents were saved A new roof had just been put on the barn and bonfire made of the old shingles. The barn caught from the bonfire, and in conse quence of the smoke from the latter was not noticed until well under way. In consequence of something being wrong with the alarm bell the response of the firemen was not quite so prompt a usual, though the blaze had gained andh headway before the alarm was sent so that it is doubtful if the building could have been saved . The loss will probably amount to about $500. Thad Rose, one of the firemen, was a truck over the left by the end of the hose, when it flew the reel, and quite a bad gash cut, in which the doctor had to put three or four stitches PIPE LINE REPORT.
