J; Meynier, marshal.The minutes of April 3,4,15,16, 17,18,19, 20,22, 23; 24, and May 3d read and adopted.Ordinance No. 29, relative to ban-Suets was amended as per ordinance [o.88.Communication from the attorney general relative to the question as to whether Biloxi should be called city ort own, read and filed.Committee on opening Division street granted further liras.Treasurer’s report read.; shows balance on general fund, $757,92; on general school fund, $7.09; incidental school fund, 36 cents; referred to finauce committee.Report of county superintendent of education read and filed.Report of marshal for April read and filed.f Petition of Peter Eskald to retail spirituous, malt and intoxicating liquors, read and laid over for thirty days as required by law.Ordinance No. 88, amending ordinance No. 64, granting additional privileges to Biloxi Electric Light Co., assigns cf E. 6.
