In Home there is still greet excitement. The French garrison is instructed to maintain order, '('he Austrians have reinforced Ancona, in opposition to the repeated protests of the Holy Father, and have now there a force stated variously at from 8,000 to 12,000 men. In Naples there is great enthusiasm felt for the war, arc! rage and mortification that no one can leave the country to enter the ranks of the Piedmontese ; but tiie restrictions are too severe, and the force by which they are hacked too strong to admit of any sueccsful effort 011 the part of the Neapolitans. The King is now in a most dangerous state.A terrible accident happened 011 Wednesday evening in the immediate neighbourhood of the railroad station of Porta Vcscovo, near Verona. A train coming from Venice with troops ran into a luggage-car full of ammunition, and an explosion was the consequence of the collision, 'flic carriages in the centre of the train were broken to pieces, and twenty-three men killed and 121 wounded. Strange to say, the officers, who were in the carriage which was immediately behind the engine, were not injured. The military transport consisted of troops belonging to the 17th Regiment of the Line, which recruits at Laybacli, in Carniola, and a 12-pound battery.'flic official Piedmontese Gazette publishes an announcement, laying ail embargo 011 Austrian vessels in Sardinian ports, but neutral property on board is to be respected.
