Trial in Federal Court has been scheduled for a North Hollywood man who along with six other persons has been indicted on charges they partici pated in an international multimilion dollar stock theft ring. Nicholas Avenetti 44, of 4934 Laurel Cannon Bird., and the other defendants, were ordered by U.S. Dis trict Court Judge Manuel Real] to appear for trial on July 10 at 9:30 am. in courtroom 14. 312 XN. Spring St. Los Angeles. a Avenelti was arrested April 5 and charged with violations of federal statu es prohibiting possession, concealment and tran portation in interstate and foreign commerce of sto len securities. According to the US Attorney's office, the securities involved were stolen in a truck hijacking from the Mark IV Freight Co. Inc. in Chicago, IL. in volving more than 3$30, 000,000 worth of secu rities. Allegations against Ave netti and the other de fendants state that ap proximately $12,000,000 worth of stolen securities were transported by the men in two suitcases from Los Angeles , London, England. Avenetti is free on $20- GUO bond.
