It woe reported n abort time ago that what appeared to be an aeroplane woe in one part of the North, Some weeks ego there were rotnon of object* likened to flying machine* having been seen seen in the Wimmera district of Victoria. If any of these reports were true, we have beard of nothing having come oat of them, strange light* In the *ky at the present time. when the mind* of tb* people are oentred on the•nr nod which may be heavenly phenomena. might lead tome to believe that they are the light* of aircraft, although tho individual who reports having reeu such light* may feel quite convinced that be is right in bis conclusions and his veracity may be beyond question. A report eorne* from Beedy Creek to the effect that a yoong lady resident there went to meet her sister, who wu returning from school in a gig, about 6.30 o’clock on Tuesday evening. She sat down on the side of a sandy track after walking tome distance to await her sitter's coming. The young girl went baok to meet her sister, and on looking in the same direction when about quarter of a mile from home the observed the bnght light again in the southwest, bet it appeared to bocoming closer. This was. an hour later than when the young lady saw the strange light the first time. On the return of her danghter* the mother was again told what they had and she went oat of the bouse with them, end on looking soath- westward observed two strange lights. There was a very dark cloud in the sky and the tights appeared to go in and oome eat of it. The tights were moving backwards and forwards, and op and down. About 9 o'clock several ofthe party were oat again watching the they Istrange lights, and they appeared to be throwing searchlights out towards the sea.About 20 mfjtes to 10 thetoJoaoglog the two young ladies referred to ob-served the light* come close to their borne, and they ooold eoe the shape of the objeot. They state that it was tike an eagle with lights on. Several of the parky went out again nod watched until 10.20 p.m. when the lights appeared to move in the direction of Mount Oamkier. It it said that another resident of the locality of -Beedy Creek reported that he had seen nothing resembling a flying machine on nday evening about midnight. While this subject wu might mention that several people have remarked to as that they have observed recently strange phenomena in the heavens.
