Might.Messrs. Gordon 6 Ritchie may writ feel proud of their audience of last evening, as well as of the entertainment which did net Ml to delight that audience. The nriety stage is a distinct department of the theatrical profesdon,requiring time, talent ana labor for the attainment of genuine excellence. The results of these attainments were displayed last night to perfection.Every seat in the house was taken. The complement of the audienee, however, was exceeded by that of the stage. The entire company of the Theatre Co-mique'was displayed In all its excellence, with the addition of seven new■tars. Him Chrtssie MerreU, Miss Frankie Howard and Miss Julia Walcott, of the regular company, sang and danced with their usual success. The Big Four won much applause. The Leo Brothers showed to their accustomed advantage. Little Lillie Tudor, a novelty of the Comiqoe, provoked an enthnsiastir encore in her character dances, while John and Amy Tudor wen excellent in their armed eombat, songs, and especially in their dancing.Bobby Gaylor supported his reputation as one of the beet Irish comedians on the stage, and May Gaylor’s beautiftal costume and exquisite dancing won for her not only the applause but the admiration of her audience.
