Ryon, *52, of Smith -ville, Mo., formerly of Laurens, died last Wednesday at a hospital in Lockhart. Tex., as a result of injuries buffered. in anauto accident earlier in the day.He was riding^ in the back seat of a car which collided with an oil truck at an intersection. The two men riding in the front seat were killed instantly.Mr. Ryon was head of the cattle order department of the Producers Commission Company of Kansas City, Mo., and of the Texas Livestock Marketing Association. He is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons, Hugh and Jimmie; a daughter, Charlene; two sisters, Bertha (Mrs.Minor) Blum of Terril and Julia (Mrs. Fred) Trenk of Madison, Wis.; and a brother, Clarence Ryon of Stratford. _Mr. Ryon was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ryon. He was a cousin of Harold V. Ryon and Melvin and Earl Ferguson of Laurens, and a nephew of Mrs. Emma Trenary and John Ferguson.
