Edward Miller, age 54, died at St. Anthony’s Hospital, April 27th. A member of the Bartenders’ and Waitresses’ Local No. 243, Eddie,” as he was intimately known by his friends was very active in the affairs of his unon. A part owner of the West End Tavern, Miller resided at 300 Jefferson Ave.His funeral was held at 2:00 p. m. from the Staten Funeral Home; on April 30th. Interment of the body took place at the Oakwoodcemetery.Not too long ago Local No. 243 created a death benelit fund. Edward Miller’s death was the first I instance affecting the benefits of the fund.
