Sanitary Stores.—From a letter of Mrs. Wittemeyer’s to a friend in this city we learn that she designs coming to Iowa shortly for sanitary stores, and is anxious to take back to the army potatoes, krout, butter, eggs, Ac., for all of which there is urgent and incessant demand among the soldiers. She has authorized Mr. Marble, of this city, to engage these articles for her, and, as is well known, he is still ready to take charge of all contributions which may be made for the necessities and health of our gallant soldiers. Mrs. W. also confirms the report that the Government has given her thirteen bales of cotton to sell and invest proceeds in vegetables, Ac., if she succeeds in getting them safely to St. Louis. Those who have these articles will know where to go and what to do.Her letter, dated April 20th, gives the location of the following Iowa regiments:— The 4th, 9th, 25th, 26th and 31st were at Greenville, one hundred miles above Vicksburg; the ilth, 13th, 15th and 16th were, she says, ordered to Vicksburg, and would most probably go on to Carthage; at Carthage the 21st, 22d, 23d, 24th, 28th and 17th; the 5th, 8th, lQth, 12th, 30th and 35th are before Vicksburg, and the 29th, 32d and 33d were expected there.
