Governor of Division 11, was chairman of the charter presentation program which opened with the singing of “America.”The invocation was given by Rev. C. W. Hempstead, a charter member of the Muscatine Kiwanis club. Toastmaster was Frank Betty, president of the Davenport club.Kiwanis Governor Daniel S. Wentworth, Chicago, made the presentation of the original charter. It was accepted by Jake Kendig, first president of the Muscatine Kiwanis club.Eugene Walsch, past president of the Davenport club, presented the flag which was accepted by W. I. Axtell of Muscatine. Walter Lane, president of the Maquoketa Kiwanis club, presented the gavel. J. F. Devitt, Muscatine, gave the greetings to visiting clubs.Charter members
