Fath er Thomas Manning, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Bethalto. will be honored Wednesday for his 25th year in the priesthood of the Catholic ChurchBishop William A. 0‘Connor ofthe Diocese of1 Springfield, will offer a Pontifical Mass of Thanksgiving in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 11 a.m.Wednesday for Father Manning and seven other priests who will mark their silver jubilees.Seventeen of Father Manning s 25 years in the priesthood have been at Bethalto where the Catholic parish has grown from approximately 186 members when he came here in 1940 to the pie-sent membership of nearly 800.The present church building was constructed here after FatherManning was assigned to Bet ha i-t0 The Rev.
