Wellington Woman Saw a“Flying Saucer”A Wellington woman said yesterday that she saw an object in tne sky a week ago which was similar to the recent descriptions of Flying Saucers.”The woman is Mrs. R. C. Brennan, of Montefioress Mrs. Brennan said she saw the object last Monday week over Wellington travelling from west to east.It was shaped like a cigar at the front with a cut-off end.Mrs. Brennan said she heard a slight hum in the air and saw the object. It was flying fast and very high and emitted a smoke trail.She rushed to her neighbours. Mrs. A. Brennan and Mrs. E. J. Brennan, so that they could see it.However, when she had them looking in the direction of the object it was too far away for them to see it.Mrs. Brennan said that sho had not mentioned the matter before because of the repeated efforts of officials to discredit those who had seen it.She added, I don't know what it was, but I definitely saw it and that is all there is to it.
