Vicksburg, Miss. May 5:— The “regular Republicans” ‘state conven tion was held here today and on the instructed delegation was named to seek resenation, at the national n ay on the dominating figure of the conven tion, and will head the delegation, the other delegates being H. M. Da ley, white, Coldwater; Isaiah T. Montgomery, negro, Mound Bayou; and D. W. Sherred, negro, Meridian. Two white men and two negro alter nates were elected, E. E. Hindman; Jackson; A. M. Storer, Oxford, white; Johannes H. Tstags, Nutches and T. J. The Port Gibson Reveille says: “The remark has often been made that we have the best kept and p riest private cemetery they had ev seen. Let us continue to merit this commendation by, responding gener ously to this plea, those strangers have not ven's. It is kept by in pices one, a city paid [amvieg his time and attention charge. Brookhaven’s cemetery is, really, a beautiful place and is a source of pride to its citizenship by strangers visiting Port 1
