At a regular communication of ] Walnut Grove chapter No. 7, O. k E, S., Hansou, I, T., the follow* 1 ing resolutions were adopted: sW.hereas, The Great Creator ( having been pleased out of His infinite wisdom to remove from our midst our beloved sister, Lizzie Lessley, daughter of Bro. C. C. Seabolt. Sister Lessley was a consistent member of the Baptist church and of this chapter, occupying the fourth point of the star. Death coming on March, 8, 1903, and taking her at the age of 25 years from the cares and troubles of this transitory existence to a state of endless duration, thus severing another link from the fraternal chain that binds us together. May we who survive her, be more strongly cemented in the ties of union and friendship. Therefore be it Resolved, That in the death of Sister Lessley Walnut Grove Chapter No. 7, O. E. S., has suffered a severe loss, and has severed its relatious with one of its stars, the star of the family which makes home the brightest place on earth.Resolved, That as our Sister Lessley has ceased to shine among us in our starry circle or grip the hand of friendship among us, let us strive to let our star shine here in our chapter below and may we join hands with her in that celestial starry firmanent above.Resolved, That we mingle our sorrows with the sorrows of the bereaved family, and as a token of respect the chapter be draped in mourning for thirty days.
