Well Known Provoan! Dies at Los Angeles. In 2 Years Mrs. Iona Knight Jordan, 44, daughter of the late Jes se and Amanda McEwan Knight, passed away this morning at 6 o'clock in The Good Samaritan hospital, Los Angeles, following an ill ness of two years’ duration. At her bedside when death came were ‘her brother and sister-in law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Will Knight; her sisters, Mrs. R. BE. Allen and Mrs. W. Lester Mangum, and Miss Lena Christensen, who has been with the Knight family since Mrs. Jordan was a little girl. Her son, Lee Knight Gordon, who will graduate from Stanford this spring and her daughter, Ruth Jordan, who is graduating from high school, had been with their mother at the hospital but returned to school the first of the week. They have been living with their grandmother, Mrs. David Starr Jordan at Palo Alto, Cal. A brother, Raymond Knight, is in Alberta, Canada. Mrs. Jordan was born in Provo and lived here until her marriage to Knight Starr Jordan. Most of the time since then had been spent in California, with the ex ception of 10 years when they resided in Provo. She attended the B.Y.U. and later Westlake Girls’ seminary in Los Angeles and Stanford university at Salo Alto. Through her charm as a hostess and friend, she was the center of attraction, socially, wherever she chose to call home. She made fre quent visits to her family and old-time associates in Provo and was always extensively enter tained. Details in connection with funeral arrangements have not yet been learned by members of the family here.
