1Library Card PartyA strong interest In the welfare of the Mobile Public library was manifested in the large crowd at the Library party Friday evening at the Battle House. There were eighty-one tables. The greater majority were engaged in the national pastime of bridge while others played other games.Entrance prizes were received by the following: Miss Elna McDavld, a potted plant; Mrs. Massle Dill-hoefer, a double case of coco cola: Mrs. lone Pankey, a fern; Miss Lula Peterson, a sack of sugar; Miss Ruth Oill, a sack of flour; Mrs.’ R. Spencer, a box of groceries; Mrs. Anna Pearl Jones a kodak; Mrs. Earl McMurphy, a Jar of olives; Miss Esther Parker, an electric toaster; Mrs. John Hoeksema, a cake; Mrs. Hattie Foster an electric iron; Miss Gladys Alonzo, a carton of ginger ale; Mrs. Dudley Reese, a basket of vegetables; Mrs. B. Teele, a cake; Mrs. M. C. Pal ton, five gallons of gas; Mrs. C. W. Brandon, a basket of fruit; Mr. Joe Edgar, gladiola and cake.Miss Mayme Patrick as general chairman worked with the following committees: Mrs. J, G. Gray and Miss Carrie Wilson, prizes; Miss Lenore Jones and Mrs. J. T. England, candy and cold drinks; Miss Adelia Williams and Mrs. Frances Sheffield sandwiches. Mrs. Lucile Cavanaugh tables; Mrs. J. U. Reaves and Mrs. R. G. Cobb, tickets: Miss Leona Wright. Miss Mabel Alvarez. Mrs. Emma Harris and Mrs. J. E.
